Alfalfa Farm

Visitors are invited to help with the grape harvest during September and October. Call for details on being part of this unique experience. There are free tours and wine for sale.

Directions: Route 95 to Exit 50. Turn left at North Street in Danvers. The farm is 1/4 mile on the left. Alfalfa Farm has a retail outlet open on Sat and Sun from 1-5pm during September, October, and November.

Amherst Farm Winery

Amherst Farm Winery has taken a unique approach in providing you with a memorable wine tasting experience. The tasting room setting is a 19th century Post and Beam Barn. The old dairy barns charm has been preserved and enhanced with the addition of a modern state-of-the-art winery. A viewing area of the stainless steel tanks and bottling line are enjoyed by visitors thirsting for a fun and informative introduction into local wine making.

Try the many fruit and grape varieties Amherst Farm Winery produces using the Valleys own local agricultural bounty. These distinctive wines range from dry to sweet and include carrot, pumpkin, cranberry, blueberry, apple, strawberry, as well as many other unique flavors. Hard cider is another treat and made from local apples.

Amherst Farm Winery is open year-round, seven days a week, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day, and Easter Sunday. We give a complimentary educationally conducted tour of our winery every weekend at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Groups of 10 or more require a reservation. A self-guided tour of the facility is always available during business hours, seven days per week, where you may learn about the winemaking process.

Broad Hill Vineyards

Established in 1995, Broad Hill Vineyards is a joint venture between two Eastern New England families. Combine old-world techniques with new-world methods to craft our quality wines. Our microclimate west of Boston endows the grapes we grow with complex character and remarkable flavor.

The winery is located at 583 Winter St., Holliston, off of Rtes. 126 and 16. Wine tastings are scheduled by appointment.

Cantina Bostonia

This wine is produced in the old brewery complex in Jamaica Plain from west coast grapes using the winemaker's Italian training. The wines are aged in oak barrels and are free of sulfites and additives.Call for locations where the wine is sold.

Cape Cod Winery

The winery produces Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet and Seyval wines. The 9 1/2 acre vineyard on Cape Cod takes advantage of the special weather effects for ideal growing conditions for the vinifera grapes.

From Bourne Bridge follow Rte. 28 to Rte. 151 (Old Silver Beach). Turn right to Mashpee for 3 miles. At lights turn right onto Sandwich Road. Winery is 2 miles, on the left.

Chester Hill Winery

The Chester Hill Winery, tucked away in the foothills of the Berkshires in blueberry country, specializes in delectable blueberry wines to complement dinner as well as dessert. Delicious white wines include a Seyval/Vidal Blanc blend and Riesling. The Chester Hill Winery offers a unique tasting and educational experience. The gift shop has wine-related items.

Coastal Vineyards

Started in 1998, features 20 acres of viniferous grapes. Running Brook Vineyard makes wine only from their hand-selected grapes. The experienced winemaker and grape grower produce top quality wines that will make New Englanders proud!

Directions: 24S to exit 12, 140S towards Lakeville/New Bedford. Take exit 4. Follow to the R to Mt. Pleasant St. towards Airport Rd. Bear right at the fork to new Plainville Rd., which becomes Old Plainville Rd., which becomes Old Fall River Rd.

Furnace Brook Winery

Furnace Brook Winery, now nine years old, was founded at the 200 acre Hilltop Orchards in Richmond, MA. This pastoral property is a quintessential example of the open spaces that once dominated the Berkshire region. The wines have won numerous awards at the Big E Northeast Wine Competition. Free wine tasting is offered year-round with apple picking and hayrides in the fall and cross country ski and snowshoeing in the winter.

Directions: Exit 1 on Mass Turnpike take Rte. 41 north to Richmond to Rte. 295 west 1 mile on right. Less than 9 miles from Lenox and less than 5 miles from Hancock Shaker Village.

Open year round Fri-Sun, 11-5PM. Wine tasting year round. Wine for sale by the glass, cheese plates, baked goods and fruit in-season. September - October Pick Your Own apples, pears and plums - free hay rides.

Hardwick Winery

The Samek Family owns this 1795 farm that now features six varieties of French hybrid grapes. Come visit a Massachusetts family farm, vineyard and winery, for tasting, tours and special events.

From Hardwick Center take Greenwich Road - continue for about 6 miles. Winery on left. From Ware Center take North Street (Next to Friendly's) to the end. Turn right onto Greenwich Road. Winery is 4 miles on right. House tours on Sat. and Sunday, from 11-3PM. Wine tasting 7 days a week. 11-5PM.

Les Trois Emme Winery

Nestled in the Berkshires is Les Trios Emme Winery, which features over 3 acres of estate grown French American Hybrid grapes hand crafted into their own Cayuga White, Marechal Fouch, Seyval Blanc, and their special Nicolaus Jackson Blush. From Boston: Go W on the Mass Pike for 120 miles, exit at Lee. Turn L onto Rte. 7/102, go 5 miles. In Stockbridge turn L onto Rte. 7 for 7 miles. From NY and South: Take the Tacconic Parkway and exit at Rte 23. Follow into MA for about 30 miles. At the top of Butternut Basin Hill turn R onto Lake Buel Rd. Nantucket Vineyard

Located on Nantucket Island next to Cisco Brewers and Triple Eight Distillery, this winery has been producing quality local wines for 28yrs. Importing most of the grapes from Washington State since 1998, Dean and Melissa Long have dedicated their lives to producing an exquisite variety of wine for Nantucketers.

Nashoba Valley Winery, Spirits & Brewery

Obadiah McIntrye Farm Winery at Charlton Orchards

One of Massachusetts' newest wineries is located at historic Charlton Orchards Farm, specializing in fruit and grape wines. Founded in 1733, the farm is one of the oldest settlements in south central Mass., only 55 minutes from Boston and 15 minutes from historic Sturbridge. Offer apple, peach, strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and blueberry fruit wines; and Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet, Red Zinfandel, & Chambourcin grape wines. We also produce a flavorful Hard Cider.

Directions: Take Mass. Pike to exit 10 (Auburn). Take first exit (Rte. 12 south) after the tollgate. Follow Rte. 12 S about 1 mile to Rte. 20 W. Follow Rte. 20 W about 4 miles. Turn left at our sign.

Plymouth Bay Winery

Directions: I-93 South to Rte. 3 South to exit 6A. Follow Rt. 44 East (Samoset St.). Go straight through intersection at lights (You will see a Gulf and Mobile Station, and cross over Rt. 3A). At rotary, take a right onto Water St. Follow past Isaac's Restaurant. Winery is right after Isaac's, toward the back of the parking lot in a white building. From South/West: Rt. 495 to Exit 6 on to Route 44 East to Plymouth. (Follow above street directions). Open year round Mon-Sat 10-5PM, Sunday, 12-5PM. Plymouth Colony Winery

Located in the heart of cranberry country, just a few miles west of historic Plymouth Center. Tour buses welcome.

From the junction of Rte. 58 and Rte. 44, follow Rte. 44 east 4.8 miles to Pinewood Rd on the right. Plymouth Winery

Family owned winery specializes in fruit wines and is one of the state's largest, producing 10,000 gallons annually. One of the most celebrated winemakers in the region, John Lebeck has over 36 years of experience. He has won gold medals in the Bay State and New York for his wines, including his signature 10% cranberry masterpiece.

Directions: From Rte. 3 take Exit 6A, follow Rte. 44 (Samoset St.) E, then straight thru intersection at lights. When you spot the ocean, turn left onto Water Street. Open June 25 - Sept. 7 and all of December: 10-8PM, Sun 12-5PM. Sept-Nov same except 10-5PM. Closed in January. Feb.

Running Brook Vineyards

Russell Orchards

The winery began in 1988 with traditional New England hard ciders in three flavors: Dry, Sweet, and Slightly Sweet. We now offer Sparkling Cider, Perry and Cider/Perry. We have added many new fruit wines including Baldwin Apple, Dry Blueberry, Dandelion, Peach, Pear, Raspberry, Raspberry-Peach, Red Currant, Rhubarb, Strawberry, and Strawberry-Rhubarb. We offer 24 fruit wine and hard cider varietals. Wine tastings are always available in our farm store. Open daily 9-6PM, May-November; 9-5PM Dec through April.

Still River Winery

Still River Winery, located in the “Apple Capital” of Massachusetts, is the state’s first winery to produce apple ice wine. Apfel Eis is made from a blend of local varietal apples – over 80 apples are used in each 375-ml bottle. Although sweet, there is a gentle bite, and clean finish. As one taster puts it, “…intense, complex flavor, with an aroma of freshly picked apples.” Likewise, Still River Winery takes advantage of the fact that central Massachusetts produces the world’s best apples – with ideal soil, climate and hours of sunlight – “terroir” as wine connoisseurs refer to it.

Travessia Winery

Travessia is an urban winery located in downtown New Bedford producing wines in small lots. Our wines are made with grapes grown exclusively in Massachusetts. The winery is integrated into a vibrant community of small businesses including restaurants, gift shops and art galleries. We are also within a short walking distance to the Ocean Explorium, the New Bedford Whaling Museum and The Zeiterion Theatre. We produce Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Vidal Blanc wine. All made with 100% Massachusetts grown grapes. Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod

Truro Vineyards opens its doors each season to wine lovers from around the world. Our tasting room and gift shop are housed within our carefully restored 1830's farmhouse. Guided tours of the vineyard and winery are offered. Truro Vineyards produces Barrel Fermented Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Maritime Red, Triump Red Blend, Cape Blush, Vignoles and Cranberry Wine.

Turtle Creek Winery

Turtle Creek is a small winery located in the shadow of Boston. Our plantings include Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Riesling. We grow and vinify only Vinifera-based wines. Fewer than 150 cases were made of each of these wines. Wines are available via the internet, by telephone, or at selected retail stores.
