French Oak: Taste. Learn. Love.

Distilleries

Massachusetts was once one of the country's leading producers and exporters of rum, whiskey and other spirits. That all changed in the late-1800's as the national temperance movement pushed many of the state's 25 distilleries underground or out of business entirely and Prohibition finished off those still in the industry.

However, with the recent rise and popularity of Massachusetts craft and micro breweries that have ridden a wave of success over the last decade, so has the opportunity for premium micro distilleries to open and flourish. And with the rapidly growing trend of state residents and restaurants looking locally for unique and innovative tastes and flavors, these four distilleries have found themselves in select position...and company.
